Information on energy saving grants and discounts from the government and energy suppliers
Energy saving grants are being offered by the Government and energy suppliers to reduce the impact of inefficient energy use on our environment.
There are many home energy efficiency measures that are inexpensive but the ones that are most effective can cost a substantial amount of money. Even though the initial expense can be recovered after a few years with reduced energy payments, many home owners just do not have the funds to pay for these energy efficiency measures.
So the Government, energy suppliers, and local authorities are offering energy saving grants and special offers to those people who are thinking of improving their home’s energy efficiency by implementing these measures.
Government Grants for renewable energy
A number of energy efficiency schemes are being supported by the UK Government and are granted to those who are eligible. There are 4 types of government schemes depending on your site.

Energy Supplier Grants
Gas and electricity suppliers are also supporting grants and special offers for their subscribers. Most energy suppliers in the UK are required to contribute to energy efficiency projects run by the government by way of giving discounts to energy saving products and services.
Local Authority Grants
There are energy efficiency schemes that are well created and are being offered by the majority of local authorities. Some of these grants are being offered by way of giving discounts on council tax towards some home energy efficiency measures.
