1. Andy Sturgeon

Andy Sturgeon has garnered 5 gold medals in the yearly Chelsea Flower Show, the last one he got was last year, where he was awarded Best in Show Award. Sturgeon started his career when his brother, a landscape gardener urged him to work as a jobbing landscape gardener. However, he realized that he had higher ambitions than that of a gardener. He studied at the Welsh College of Horticulture and after graduating in 1987 worked at the Wisley Garden of the Royal Horticultural Society. Not long after, he decided to build up his own firm but sold it in 1994. He traveled the world getting plants in Madagascar and worked at the Tsing Ma suspension bridge in Hong Kong as an engineer.

In 1997 when he returned to UK and started another business in garden design. He is, at present, a garden columnist for the Daily Telegraph and comments on different gardening issues over at the BBC. He has written for the Daily Express, Sunday Times and Daily Mail about gardening.

He is one of the greates garden designers in the World.

2. Helen Billetop

Helen is a top garden and landscape designer who creates gardens with creative flair and an innovative approach. She produces well-balanced, unique plans using dynamic planting methods in outdoor spaces. She can work on any size of garden, ranging from small London terraces to large properties both in the commercial and in private sectors. Her planting technique uses a combination of modern and traditional elements to construct beautiful and distinctive gardens, which blend very well with the style of the house and the personal tastes of her clients.

Helen was an Honorary Treasurer and Vice Chairman of the Society of Garden designers - one of the leading organizations of professional garden designers in the UK. She is now a Fellow and adjudicator of this Society. Helen teaches garden designing at the Inchbald School of Garden Design located in London. She also writes articles for the Garden Design Journal, and is a regular participant in prestigious flower and garden shows including the Hampton Court and RHS Chelsea.

3. Jim Fogarty

Jim Fogarty of Australia, has built a very high standing in the garden design sector from his numerous internationally acclaimed garden designs. Fogarty has shown the world the essence of the designs of Australian gardens and landscapes.

In 1992, Fogarty got his Associate Diploma of Applied Science in Horticulture in Melbourne with a major in Landscape design and development. He gained experience by working with Jenny Smith Gardens and Woodman's Landscaping in 1995. In 1996, he was able to land a job as presenter of gardening matters on a TV show based in Sydney. He returned to Melbourne in 1997 to establish his own garden design business.

It was in 1998 when Fogarty started his show in which he designed a display for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. He won 3 Design Excellence Awards and 4 Gold Medals from the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show. He has been awarded 'Best in Show' Award by the City of Melbourne twice.

He also received a Silver-Gilt medal when he designed the 'Australian Inspiration' Show Garden during the Chelsea Flower Show in 2004, which is one of the highlights of his career.

4. Tom Stuart-Smith

A Cambridge University graduate who took up Zoology, Tom Stuart-Smith read Landscape Design at the Manchester University and that started his career as a garden designer. A practicing landscape designer since 1984, Stuart-Smith is based in Clerkenwell, central London.

Sophisticated, modern, clean and full of excitement are the adjectives best used to describe his designs. In celebration of the Golden Jubilee of the Queen in 2002, Tom Stuart-Smith was commissioned to design a new garden at the Windsor Castle. He was likewise responsible for the restoration of the largest formal garden in England located in Trentham, Staffordshire as well as the completion of the latest garden around the bicentary Glasshouse for the Royal Horticultural Society at Wisley in 2007.

His participation at the Chelsea Flower Show gave him 8 gold medals for gardens that consist of Best Garden in Show awards for the year 2003, 2006 and 2008. He has also written on gardens and landscape in countless publications.

5. Peter Fudge
