When choosing the right type of wood(s) for your project consider the following:
Think pressure treated. These type of woods are mixed with chemicals to make it resistant to insects and decay, such as pine. They are much cheaper than the woods that naturally resist insects and decay, like redwood. Plus it is just as strong and durable as the more organic woods.
Find credible timber dealers. It is imperative to link up with the right type of dealer, as your project may last for several day, weeks, etc. Therefore, you will having contact, and doing business with this company often. Make sure you are comfortable with their business practices.
